Our Story

Over 70 years ago, founder Hollie Higgins opened up shop and began serving the small city of Bemidji, MN. The Higgins family continued to provide cooling and heating services to the region for the next 50 years. The company evolved with the advancing HVAC industry, and we began introducing newer furnaces, boilers, heaters, and air conditioners to homeowners and businesses throughout the area.

In 2006, Charlie Ward purchased the business, continuing the legacy that Higgins had begun all those years ago. Having grown up in Northwestern Minnesota, our team understands the challenges homeowners and businesses face with their heating and cooling systems. In the middle of winter, it’s not uncommon for furnaces and boilers to break down. That’s why Higgins Heating is always ready to provide support, no matter the day or time.

We’ve expanded our reach, serving up to 50 miles outside of Bemidji, MN, and the surrounding areas. In 2008, we relocated to our new location on 1632 Bemidji Avenue.
